Our annual competition against Staines and Bourne End hosted by Staines at 8pm. Laleham Village Hall, The Broadway, Laleham Middx TW18 1RZ Arrive 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start.
Tues 18th Oct GUEST SPEAKER Dennis Lowe – Visual effects supervisor and documentary filmmaker. Dennis has worked on many films including Alien, Star Wars - Empire Strikes Back, Frankenstein, The English Patient & Cold Mountain
Tues 25th Oct THE CURRIE CUP Our annual competition for the best 4-minute film or video
Tues 1st Nov GUEST SPEAKER Guy Langdon will be demonstrating the excellent and inexpensive Magix editing software
Tues 8th Nov AN ANIMATED EVENING Brian Hibbitt [British Puppet and Model Theatre Guild] presents an evening of award winning puppet and animation films all produced using different techniques

Tues 22nd Nov Filming Live Events Tony Colvile will illustrate problems with filming/editing various live events using clips from pantomimes, a wedding and band concerts
Tues 29th Nov GUEST SPEAKER Documentary filmmaker Nicholas Brazil presents his latest film “Naida’s Story – The Remarkable Tale of a Beautiful Yacht”
Tues 6th Dec THE WARD TROPHY Our annual competition for the best holiday

Tues 13th Dec GOODBYE 2011 Enjoy a social fun evening with drinks and nibbles to celebrate the coming festive season and at the same time learn how to download short videos from the web for screening on the 10th Jan. Fun filming with green screen.

Tues 31st Jan GUEST SPEAKER
Paul Walker from The Electronic Picture Co presents an evening on 3D animation. Also learn how to get animating without spending loads of money
Tues 7th Feb Green Screen Magic Roger Chapman will give a practical demonstration on the creative uses of this amazing technique
Tues 14th Feb Software Round Up Simon Parker will share knowledge with a round up of useful software used by members with a bias towards film production. Plus some films
Tues 14th to Thur 16th Feb BROADCAST VIDEO EXPO BVE exhibition at Earls Court 2. Register online for free entry
Tues 21st Feb Let’s Film Cooking! Jorge Franca will teach us different techniques used to film cooking; then during the second half of the evening he’ll be showing some award winning films
Tues 28th Feb Creative Aspects of Film making Ian McDougall will present a dual approach to capture audience interest avoiding the cliched and predictable and showing how to seek and develop original ideas

Tues 27th Mar GUEST SPEAKER Ron Prosser (chairman of the IAC) presents his cinematic CV “Films from a misspent youth”
Tues 3rd Apr Gadgets and Gizmo’s Franc Genna will be demonstrating his home-made time lapse gadget and showing his short film produced using this device. Bring along your gadgets and share your filmmaking tips with us
Tues 10th Apr THE BOURNES CUP Our annual open competition for the best film or video. (max 15-minutes)
Tues 17th Apr PRACTICAL EVENING A fun film challenge to get your creative juices working – 3 teams each given 2 props, film a story for screening next week
Tues 24th Apr Planning Summer Projects Screen the films shot last week. Start working on your ideas and getting your crews together for an exciting summer ahead.
FRI 27th Apr READING PREMIERE NIGHT We invite our friends and families to
see the highlights of our year and present
